Spotflux differentiates itself by touting its privacy and security features. There are plenty of programs like Hotspot Shield, TunnelBear, and CyberGhost VPN that allow you to browse content that is not available to you locally. You can choose whether to launch it on start or manually turn it on and you don't have to configure anything or worry about what settings to choose. After it's turned on, you can forget about it. There is only an on/off button on the main interface. Once you have downloaded it, SpotFlux runs silently in the background and sits in your system tray. This is great for those who are paying for a proxy service, but it unfortunately doesn't provide a built-in proxy like TunnelBear. If you require a proxy, Spotflux will let you enter in your proxy server manually. It is still recommended that you run an antivirus program alongside though. This is a nice buffer between you and an infection.
Like Hotspot Shield, Spotflux also offers malware and virus protection. You can browse websites and apps anonymously, shop and pay securely. This also means that you won't be tracked online and it will help save a little bandwidth since you don't have to load heavy flash ads. FastVPN is easy-to-use and hides your real location on unlimited devices. There are browser extensions that do this, but it's nice to have Spotflux block advertisements system-wide. One of the coolest features of the premium version is its ability to block ads. You get tons of extra features if you upgrade. You will also see sponsored adverts in the free version.
